Worm Tea

Worm Tea. It's not the latest flavor from Celestial Seasons, but it is GREAT it it's own way. We use red worms to compost our fruit and veggie garbage. One of the byproducts of this process is liquid at the bottom of the Rubermaid bin our worms are in. A few nights ago I decided to make a way for us to harvest this nitrogen rich liquid to use on our potted plants and in the starter trays. I made the "tea" using rainwater and the wormy liquid at a dilution of 1 cup wormy liquid to 2 liters of water. The plants are loving it! (For those of you who wondered, I did not use my wife's measuring cups to mix the tea.) (...but only after she told me not to even think about it!)

P.S. Come back later this week to see my bucket drip irrigation system.
